This year's theme for the blog hop is gardening. I chose the
Typeset Layered Papier Tole (the center flower)
as a highlight on my card.
This is a great set of flowers that have a real Vintage look and you can mix and match the different ones any way you want.
I used the Noted Paper Pack(it is double sided) and the wonderful Washi Tape that I am really loving.Paper Wishes has a lot of beautiful papers and embellishments as well as stamps. I really love their stuff and am happy to tell others about it. They are also very generous with prizes. Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to leave a comment on all the blogs for a chance to win!And now for even more giveaways!

It has been really hard to create with all the cleaning and moving and just the business of life!! I am slowly getting my crafting and creating mojo back. It has been hard to find time and I am just amazed at all the stuff people on other blogs get finished. I am beginning to think that I must be slow at making things.
I just made 2 paperdolls for swaps. One was for Playing Card dolls and the other was a Red White and Blue swap. I really enjoyed them and am happy with the way they turned out.
The other cards are just ones I made for different people. I love making cards and it doesn't get boring.
I am off to Charlotte and will be stopping by my favorite store "Mighty Dollar". They have lots of wonderful craft supplies, clear stamp sets and unique items. And everything is a dollar. I wish they had them here in Tennessee but they are mostly in North Carolina. I am going to the one in Hickory and Morganton and hope to find many treasures.
Have a great rest of the week.

Hello Again, I have been away again for awhile. Life sure gets in the way of blogging frequently. I have finally cleaned out my craft room. Unfortunately I had to turn it into a guest bedroom. It is still a work in progress but my parents were able to stay in the room for 4 days last week. I have moved my work table into my bedroom but that is another whole problem! I have managed to make stuff even though there has been a lot of craziness going on.
I am loving Suzi Blu's book, Mixed Media Girls,
Here are my before room pics and then my after pics. Have a great day!
And here are some after Pics. It still needs work but I am happy to have made it this far!

Spring Has Sprung...Into Summer!
I really enjoy spring but this year it seems that summer has already come to East Tennessee. The dogwoods and Irises that bloom in May are out everywhere. The temp has been in the 80's many days in a row. I don't want summer yet. If I wanted that I would live in Fla where spring comes in February!
The dreaded craft-room clean up continues slowly but we are making progress. I have moved the craft table into my bedroom. Surprisingly this has made me make something everyday.
Here are the cards I made a couple of days ago. The morning glory is from a technique I saw here. I loved the look of hers and although mine isn't the same I really liked the outcome.
The black and yellow card was from a Papier Toile kit from Paperwishes. I didn't think I would like black but the card turned out very elegant. Well it's back to cleaning now. Someday I am sure I will have pics to post of my new guest room/craft room!
Have a great weekend and a Happy Easter!

IT Has Begun!
Yes it has started. You might think I am talking about spring but that isn't it. Of course it is started to be a lot like spring around here but that isn't what I am talking about. For several years now I have said I had to clean my craft room. My daughter volunteered to help so there was no chance of putting it off any longer. I have decided to change it back to a guest bedroom although a lot of my crafting stuff will still be in there. I am moving my craft table into the master bedroom which probably isn't the best choice but will have to do for now.
My question is "do I dare show my before pictures before I have the "after pictures?" I think not. The before and after at the same time have a much bigger wow effect. So I am hoping that within 6 weeks I will have some really WOW factor pictures to share.
The bunny card is to celebrate spring. The stamp(Northwoods) is one that my Dad bought at the flea market in a bag of 15 stamps for $3 and is my current favorite. I love spring and it is definitely coming. The lady cards are using my favorite Hot off the Press stamp and papers.
Hope everyone has a lovely week and remember--Daylight Savings time starts tomorrow, Spring Forward!

I'm Ba-ack!
I have been away awhile. I don't know what happened to my quiet life. Two surgeries and 2 new grandbabies in 6 months and time just rushed by at the speed of sound! My husband has come through his surgeries well and the babies are wonderful but my crafting life has been on hold.
I am now working on a paperdoll for Valentine's to make with my mother's friends when I go to Fla next month. I will be posting pics soon I hope.
I am still adjusting to Life over 50. It is not for the faint-hearted. What happened to jumping out of bed(okay I never jumped) but getting up and not feeling pain in any part of your body. What happened to feeling as if my time was limitless and I had time to do it all. Oh well, it is January. I usually just try to survive the winter one day at a time. My body was not built to live in the cold!
Here are some vintage Valentines I bought at the flea market in Florida last year. Enjoy!
